16. Jay-Z
Jay-Z was only 12 when he fired shots at his older brother, Eric, in the shoulder. He has even mentioned the incident in one of his raps, “Saw the devil in your eyes/ High off more than weed, confused, I just closed my young eyes and squeezed.” Later in adult years in 1999, he would be sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor; he was charged for stabbing music producer, Lance “Un” Rivera outside of a nightclub.
17. Vanilla Ice
Vanilla Ice has been apprehended twice for assaulting his wife, Laura Giaritta. The first arrest occurred in 2004 while the second one happened four years later. In 2008, he was arrested for domestic battery, after his wife called the police to inform her miseries. She has stated her version of events, “He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set in front of my daughter.” The case was eventually dropped.
18. Lane Garrison
Lane Garrison is prominently known for his stint on the show, Prison Break. Who would have known that he would end up imitating his art? In 2006, Lane was charged with vehicular manslaughter after he drove under the influence of cocaine and crashed his car, killing the passenger seated beside him. He also had a blood alcohol level of .20. He was justifiably sentenced to 40 months in jail in May 2007. The man escaped the confined walls of the prison in April 2009.
