Some few, lucky people even manage to splash out on the ultimate marine boy-toy – a small boat, or even possibly a yacht. Only the very select few can afford to the kind of superyachts that make stately Beverly Hills mansions pale in comparison. We have scoped the top 10 most expensive yachts around. 10. The Rising Sun

At the lowest spot on our top 10 is the impressive Rising Sun. Worth a whopping $200 Million, this superyacht was designed by Jon Bannenberg, and built in 2004 by Germany’s Lürssen for Oracle Corporation’s CEO Larry Ellison. The yacht has last been refitted in 2007 and was purchased by producer mogul David Geffen, in 2010. With a length of 453 feet, this is the eleventh largest yacht in the world. It boasts a living area spanning over 86,000 square feet and encompassing an impressive 82 rooms on five levels. The Rising Sun comes complete with a gym, spa, sauna, a wine cellar, a private cinema complete with giant plasma screen as well as a main-deck basketball which can also double up as a helipad. It can accommodate up to 16 guests and 45 crew members, while reaching a cruising speed of 26 knots.

9. Seven Seas

This superyacht spans 282-feet in length and is rumoured to be owned by Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg. It was custom-built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco for a smooth $200-million, in 2010. The Seven Seas can reach a cruising speed of 15 knots and accommodate up to 12 guests in 7 suites, as well as a total of 23 crew members, on board. The superyacht’s most stunning feature is certainly its infinity pool, which features a 15-foot glass wall that fittingly doubles up as a movie screen. Launched in 1990 and now worth around $210 Million, the Lady Moura is owned by Saudi Arabian businessman, Nasser Al-Rashid. The superyacht was built by Blohm + Voss Shipyards in Hamburg, Germany, while Luigi Sturchio oversaw her exquisite exterior and interior design. She was refitted and fully modernised in 2007. The Lady Moura can accommodate around 30 guests, and twice as many crew members. The yacht can frequently be seen in the South of France, during the summer and she is easily distinguishable due to her brilliant white colour and 24 karat goat lettering. The Lady Moura is 344 feet long and features a spa, casino, nightclub, a fully-equipped operating theatre as well as a helipad.
