It features the stunning and unique, if unconventional design of Philippe Starck, including an upside-down hull. It is not only her design which is cutting-edge, but her engineering is also a piece of art. Superyacht ‘A’ impressively also features three swimming pools, which that create currents to swim against, as well as two 11 metre tenders, also designed by Starck’s hand. Modern navigation and entertainment equipment sit alongside an intelligent use of space, and the warm, comforting feeling of wood at sea. She also features one master suite as well as six guest suites, which can in total accommodate 14 guests and 37 crew members, to wait on them.

Considered to be the world’s second largest yacht and going for a price tag of $350 million, the Dubai was launched in 2006 by Platinum Yachts. Esteemed designer, Andrew Winch’s skilled hand managed to retain elegant and understated lines for this yacht, despite her impressive length of 531 feet. Originally built for Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei, the superyacht was taken over by Platinum Yachts for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Rashid al-Maktoum. The stylish and elegant design incorporates bold colours with refined and intricate handmade mosaics. The superyacht’s showpiece is its dramatic glass-stepped circular staircase which makes the most of the natural light emanating from the top deck. Able to accommodate a total of 155 people (including both guests and crew), the Dubai includes seven decks, a mosaic swimming pool, various Jacuzzis and a helipad.
