5. Lockheed Martin N+2
Reaching speeds of 1,200mph, the N+2 jet design is intended for commercial airliners and hopes to fly from London to New York in under 3 hours. This is one of the leading new generation supersonic passenger aircraft. The N+2 would be able to accommodate 80 passengers and would feature three engines; one under either wing and a third on top of the aircraft. The aerospace company is developing new technology for the propulsion required for this aircraft, while also reducing the noise generated by such strong engines.
