7. Westworld- (HBO)
When the Nolan brothers are involved in a project, it calls for our undivided attention. Jonah Nolan with hits such as The Dark Knight, Person of Interest, etc under his belt is set to take the small screen by storm with Westworld, an adaptation of the 1973 sci-fi film about a Western theme park built around androids. Backed by a stellar cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marden, Jeffrey Wright and Thandie Newton, this series will grab a lot of attention when it is premiered sometime in the fall.
8. The Path- (Hulu)
Jason Katims, with movies such as Parenthood and Friday Night lights to his credit, is back with a bang with his drama, The Path, a series that revolves around a family involved in a new religion cult. With stars such as Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy and Minka Kelly enacting stellar scenes in the series, The Path provides many tear-jerking moments. The first episode was premiered back in March 30.
9. Outsiders- (WGN America)
Outsiders, produced by WGN America, is a grim drama about a tight-knit family living off the grid in the Appalachian mountains. Outsiders was exactly what WGN America needed to put the network on the map. Owing to its popularity, the series has already been renewed for a second season in January 2017. The first season begins with Big Foster (David Morse) declaring war on policemen and businessmen looking to secure control of the mountain for lucrative redevelopment.
